“Do you mind looking after Toby for me? It’s just for a few days. I’ll be back soon enough.”

“So I have a new little puppy now.”

Running down the street, Molly made to cover her body up with her coat, but to little effect. It was pouring down in the street outside of Barts and she was trying to get her way into the hospital without getting soaked. When she’d walked to the tube earlier that morning, things had been fine, but when she had come out she’d been met with the torrential downpour of rain. Of course she hadn’t thought to pick up an umbrella that morning before leaving so she had to face the elements on her own.
Molly continued on her quick journey towards her work, giving up on trying to use her coat to keep herself dry as the rain did nothing but soak through it. She was almost to the entrance of the building where she worked when she slipped on the slick pavement. Reaching out to grasp on anything she could to stop herself from falling, she unknowingly grabbed onto the arm of another, causing them to tumble with her.
Head cracking on the hard pavement beneath her, Molly grew disorientated for a moment before the pounding in the back of her head began. Attempting to sit up unsteadily, she looked around to see another person on the ground beside her, the one that she had pulled down. “Oh! Oh my god, I’m so sorry!” she gasped, looking to the person beside her, forgetting the pain in her head for a moment.
